She is survived by two sons, Joe Hicks and his wife, Sandra of Malvern, and Larry Hicks of North Little Rock; by a step-daughter, Alma Walker of Malvern; by a brother, Glenn Cunningham of Apple Valley, California; by a sister, Lola Kidd of Malvern; by seven grandchildren, Michelle Carnahan, Rachel Inmon, Lawrence (Tripp) Hicks, III, Krista Sebourn, Jace Helms, Joseph Hicks, Jr., Diane Austin; by three step-grandchildren; by six great-grandchildren, and by three great-great-grandchildren.Lou was also preceded in death by two daughters, Belva Jean Hicks and Sarah Helms, two brothers, John Cunningham and William “Dick” Cunningham, and by three sisters, Ruby Lee Bankson, Gladys Schakel, and Opal Ragland.He was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.He has been an active fill-in preacher and Sunday School teacher for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Susie Harvey Adams, to whom he was married on June 16, 1972 in Malvern; by his daughters, Heather Adams Mc Kim (Mike) of Bryant, Ashley Adams Tackett (Eddie) of Bauxite, and Lindsay Adams Robinson (Raymond) of Alexander; his mother, Dora Adams of Bauxite; a brother, Gary Adams of Memphis; three sisters, Suzanna Osburn ( Charles) of Bigelow, Karan Stewart (Howard) of North Little Rock, and Debra Hanson (Chet) of Bauxite; eight grandchildren, Aaron and Ashlin Kizer, Trey Mc Kim, Braden and Peyton Tackett, Austin, Dalis, and Anniston Robinson. Ainsworth, age 90 of Malvern, died Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Baptist Health Medical Center in Malvern.She was born in Malvern on October 19, 1904 to the late Henry and Bessie Noble Means. She was born in Saline County on June 22, 1921 to the late F. Adams, to whom she was married on October 2, 1937 in Malvern. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Adams Simmons (the late Bill Simmons), and Sherri Adams Hollingsworth (Ed), all of Malvern; grandchildren, Dana Hill (Lloyd), Jackie Beck (Stanley), Charlie Hollingsworth (Sarah), Mike Hollingsworth (Katie), and Jason Hollingsworth (Kelsey); 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Jerry Wilson of Longview, Texas, her dear friends Pat Simmons and Pearl Darrow Rogers, and many nieces and nephews.The Means and Noble families have been a part of this local area for well over 150 years and included several doctors, judges, and lawyers in Hot Spring County and Arkansas. Abbott was educated in the Malvern Public Schools, graduating in the Class of 1922. She is survived by one grandson, Mark Abbott of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; by one granddaughter, Susan Reid of Dickinson, Texas; by five great-grandchildren, Lauren and Alan Abbott, and Valerie, Lauren, and Katelyn Reid; and by several nieces and nephews, including Virginia Abbott Robertson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Funk Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from five until seven o’clock. Eunice was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Greer Adams; brothers, Wilburn and Alfred Greer; sisters, Constance Reynolds, Freda Stiles, and Annie Darby; and dear friend Louise Bailey.
Reared and educated in Oklahoma and Arkansas, she had worked for Timex Corporation, the Textile Mill, and retired from Amoco Foam Packaging.Ray Bollen and staff, and Baptist Home Health workers Brenda, Wanda, and Kevin. Both sides of her family were pioneers in Hot Spring County, some settling here prior to Arkansas’ statehood.The family will be at 518 East Sullenberger Avenue in Malvern. Reared and educated in Malvern, she retired after 55 years as a retail clerk, having worked at West Department Store and Walmart.She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Malvern Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Abbott was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Willis Ralph Abbott, Sr.; by one son, Willis Ralph Abbott, Jr.; by one daughter, Sue Abbott Uhlhorn; by one sister, Ruth White; by four brothers, William, Ben, H. Graveside services will be held at eleven o’clock Thursday morning, September 6, 2007 in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend Carl Mc Cormack officiating. Her funeral will be two o’clock Thursday afternoon, July 3, 2014 in the chapel of J. Funk Funeral Home with Bryan Braswell, Edgar Simmons, Ed Hollingsworth, and Pat Greer speaking. Pallbearers are: Charlie, Mike and Jason Hollingsworth, Dan Gilliam, Billy Beck, Adam Roberts, Reed Roberts, and Warren Spillman.Special thanks go to Pat Trammell, her care giver, Dr. She was born in the Big Creek Community near Malvern on December 31, 1923 to the late Gordon and Louisa Staggs Cunningham.
